April 10, 2015

Reading  and Science Students began their shared research project on habitats. They are becoming familiar with text features, and learning to navigate and locate information within text. They researched and took notes on two habitats. Next week they will begin writing their rough drafts which will include an introduction, the body, a conclusion and text features of their choice.

Our caterpillars arrived on Wednesday. We are anxiously watching and journaling about their day to day growth.

We had our March READING CELEBRATION on Thursday. We celebrated with lunch in the classroom, a Magic School Bus Video, In the Rainforest, and popsicles. Students were also given a coupon for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. This was the last one for the year. Way to go readers!

Reading Logs Continue to read for 20 minutes each night and record your books in the April Log.
