Ms. Zurales' Class News
ELA We continue our unit Culture and Traditions. We’ll be starting on our “Culture Day” activity this week. A letter and other information will be coming home Wednesday. Students will be required to put together a presentation.
Don't forget to read for 20 minutes each night.
SPELLING A spelling test was given today. Homework (3 items on the menu, 1 from each column) is due on Friday, February 24, which is also the date of the test.
MATH Ms. Zurales' math class will continue Multiplication, Division & Area. Students will investigate two different interpretations of division-sharing and grouping-by solving story problems that elicit one interpretation or the other. They will share and discuss their work in class. A practice sheet will go home on Monday for the 6's multiplication facts. A 6's quiz will be given on Thursday.
SOCIAL STUDIES Mr. Blocker, from Junior Achievement, will have students examine the importance of money to a city and how people use different methods to pay for goods and services.
