Ms. Zurales' 3rd Grade News

ELA. We are reading the novel The One and Only Ivan. Students are completing a packet that addresses multiple reading skills. 

Please make sure your child is recording their minutes in their log.

SPELLING  On Monday, new sorts went home. Three activities from the spelling menu are due on May 18, the day of the test.

SOCIAL SCIENCE  Science:  We will continue with Mystery Science. We are learning about Animals Through Time:  Heredity, Variation, & Selection. 

MATH  Ms. Zurales' math class:  We are revisiting fractions.  There will be a Fraction Checkpoint Quiz on Monday and Tuesday is the Unit Test on Fractions.  A study guide went home on May 10. It is due on Monday, May 14. Please make sure to review it with your child. There will be a 3s division quiz on Wednesday, May 16th. 

If your child should forget their Student Book or their Home Connections workbook at school, they can go into my google math classroom from a home computer and print the page they will need to complete for homework.

Important Dates & Announcements

The zoo field trip is Thursday. Please make sure to dress your child for the weather and in comfy shoes. They will also need a sack lunch and drink that is disposable.

5/16 -  Ms. Zurales' Math Class - Divide by 3s Facts Quiz
