What are your plans for April?
Ms. Zurales' 3rd Grade News
April 18, 2019

ELA  We are reading the novel The One and Only Ivan. Students are completing a packet that addresses multiple reading skills.

SOCIAL SCIENCE  We will continue our unit on Chicago. During this time, students are working on answering text dependent questions. We will learn about rebuilding the city and The Chicago World Fair. A study guide for Chicago will be handed out next week. Students are responsible for filling it out. The test will be on Monday, April 29. They will be able to use it for the test. We have been working a brochure about a special place in Chicago. They are due on Monday. Please ask your child about this.

Don't forget to read for 20 days/20 minutes per night and record it for April.

SPELLING  Three items on the menu, 1 from each column, are due on Friday, April 26, which is the day of the test.

MATH  Ms. Zurales' Math class: There will be a checkpoint quiz on polygons and quadrilateral on Monday. A study guide went home today. Please review this with them. Next week, we will be finding the perimeter of quadrilaterals.

There will be a quiz on dividing by 4s on Wednesday, April 24.
