SEL Our SEL focus this week was managing anger. Students learned:
English Language Arts As we continue with our traditions and culture unit, students
will finish researching and taking notes about their country. Then they will be typing their
country reports. Those students that do not finish their work during class time will need
to finish at home next week.
*Your child will be presenting their country to the class during the week of March
9th. Look for a letter with the guidelines and the date your child will be
presenting to come home on Monday.
Don't forget to read for 20 min/20 days and record it in the February log. They are due on Monday.
Spelling A new spelling sort will go home next week. - Everyone feels angry sometimes, but hurting other people’s feelings or bodies is not okay.
- It’s important to calm down angry feelings so you don’t do something hurtful.
- Being assertive is a respectful way to get what you want or need.
Junior Achievement: Mr. Blocker will be here for our final Jr. Achievement session. Students will build a city and receive a Certificate of Achievement.

Mrs. Caliendo's Math Class Students will be playing a couple of games that will give them more practice with division and then they will be introduced to area. There will be a division checkpoint quiz on Tuesday.
Practice the x12 facts. A fact quiz will be given on Wednesday, March 4. It is NOT timed! Students are responsible for mastering the multiplication facts up to 12. The quiz will have about 26 math facts. Flash cards are a great resource!
If your child should forget their Student Book or their Home Connections workbook at school, they can go into my google math classroom - Calski Math Class from a home computer and print the page they will need to complete for homework.
