Ms. Zurales' Class News
ELA We will continue our Culture and Traditions Unit. Students should be finished taking notes, in their composition notebooks, on their country. If they are not done, it should be finished up over the weekend. We will be typing the chapters of our expository/research paper next week. Don't forget to read for 20 minutes each night.
LANGUAGE ARTS Our focus will be on Root words.
SPELLING A test was given today. New sorts will go home on Tuesday. Homework (3 items on the menu, 1 from each column) is due on Friday, January 27, which is also the date of the test.
MATH Ms. Zurales' math class will continue with Measurement and Fractions. A practice sheet will go home on Tuesday for the 3s multiplication facts. A 1 minute test will be given on Friday.
Science Students will be learning about the states of matter.
Social Studies We talked about what a great and peaceful man Martin Luther King was. We are watching Our Friend Martin. We will finish it up on Tuesday.
