Ms. Zurales' 3rd Grade News

ELA. We are reading the novel The One and Only Ivan. Students are completing a packet that addresses multiple reading skills. 

April Reading Logs are due on or before Tuesday, May 1st.

SPELLING  New spelling sorts will go home Monday, April 23.

SOCIAL SCIENCE Social Studies:  The last Chicago Test will be on Monday. Students can use the study guide they filled out. If it is not completed or it is forgotten at home, they will have to take the test from memory.  Next, we will move to Science. We will be studying Earth's place in the Solar System.

MATH  Ms. Zurales' math class:  Students will review the use of equations to represent 2 step story problems that involve multiplication, and explore strategies for multiplying single digits by 11, and then by  12.  Our next fact quiz will be on Division, the 5s, on Wednesday, April 25. 

If your child should forget their Student Book or their Home Connections workbook at school, they can go into my google math classroom from a home computer and print the page they will need to complete for homework.

Important Dates & Announcements

Your children have been working hard to show you so many things they have learned in 3rd Grade. We hope you can come to our Open House on Thursday and see what they have been up to! The Open House will be held from 6:30-8:00pm.
