Ms. Zurales' 3rd Grade News

ELA. We are reading the novel The One and Only Ivan. Students are completing a packet that addresses multiple reading skills. We will finish prefixes & suffixes next week. There will be a test on Wednesday. Please make sure your child studies the front page of their packet. 

Don't forget to read for 20 minutes each night. April Logs went home this week.

SPELLING  There will be a spelling test on Friday. Three activities from the spelling menu are due at that time.

SOCIAL SCIENCE Social Studies:  We will be learning about The Chicago World Fair.

MATH  Ms. Zurales' math class:  There will be a test on Unit 6,  Geometry, on Monday. Please make sure your child reviews the study guide.  PARCC testing for Math will be Monday thru Thursday. We will begin fact quizzes on Division, the 2s, on Wednesday, April 18. 

If your child should forget their Student Book or their Home Connections workbook at school, they can go into my google math classroom from a home computer and print the page they will need to complete for homework.

Important Dates & Announcements

PARCC Math  testing will be Monday thru Thursday. Please make sure your child gets a good night sleep and eats a healthy breakfast.  Chromebooks will need to be fully charged every night and headphones/earbuds should be brought to school daily!
